According to Ayurveda, Brass utensils should only be made by 'Ritika Peetal', which is two parts pure raw copper mixed with one part pure raw zinc, which sadly, is not the case with the range available in the markets. The commercially available brass utensils in India are actually made out of recycled copper from scrapped and discarded transformers, which plagues the copper with harmful elements like lead, which later infuse into our food.
